This is very different aspect to the traditional
process.
Hot Button Issues refers to the problems of which
both lawyers need to be aware in relation to both clients. The
lawyers identify sensitive subjects with their own clients and make
the other lawyer aware so that if there is a sign of distress, both
lawyers can act to do what is necessary to keep the process on track
and hold the parties in the process.
That said, no such information is disclosed to
the other lawyer without the clients consent, but in the knowledge
that such information will be used by both lawyers to protect rather
than take advantage, we have found clients are happy with this.
